How does an eating small low-carb meal help patients with blood pressure? |
Low carbohydrate meals, or low-carb meals, is very useful in helping to control the blood sugar level of the body. People who are not aware of the ways in which low-carb meals work OR the benefits of consuming a meal which has low levels of carbohydrate should refer to their physicians for additional information. Carbohydrates are converted to fat by the action of insulin in the body. When a meal with high levels of carbohydrate is consumed, the level of blood sugar in the body goes up and this in turn raises the production of insulin in the body. However, a negative aspect of this is that it causes fat to be deposited which gives rise to increased hunger symptoms in the body and thus a person falls in to this vicious cycle which not only takes blood pressure to unhealthy levels but also makes them gain weight. As a result, keeping the meal short on carbohydrates is useful in ensuring that a person keeps his blood pressure to safe levels. |
